COVID-19 and the Heart

A recent study demonstrated possible long lasting effects of the COVID-19 virus on the heart. Inflammation of the heart, known as myocarditis, was visualized on imaging performed on a number of competitive athletes who had previous ASYMPTOMATIC or mild infection.
